Anna J. b. 18?? in MI Cyrena b. 21 Aug 1859, d. 1899 near Edmore, MI
Please note the messy date here- can anyone help me?
Nothing is known about the two oldest children except that they are listed in the 1850 census and it tells how old they were at that time. Harriet apparently died before 1860 as she is not listed in the 1860 census. Anginette is still listed in it but after that time we haven’t found any trace of her.
Cyrena I died at age 37 when Cyrena II was born, 21 August, 1859.
Amasa then married Julia Havens (date unk). They are listed in the 1870 Michigan census as Amos Blunt with 18 year old Oscar, 16 year old Jane (could be Anna Jane?, Altha Jane??), and 9 year old Lincoln plus the children that were born to them at that time. Cyrena is living with Sherman and Esther Fitch. Does anyone know if Julia was widowed and had a child named Lincoln?
Amasa and Julia took the family to Kansas sometime after 1876, the year he and his brother-in-law Philancourt (sic) Black joined the Adventist Church from the Wesleyan Methodist Church (Hills and Dales book). Amasa died either 12 Sep or 12 Oct 1880, both he and Julia are buried in Macksville, KS.
(Mygleetus Taylor provided much information for the Hills and Dales book on the Blount’s. I wish I had been interested in genealogy when I visited Mygleetus with my parents. It turns out we are also related to Mygleetus through my mother’s maternal Crommer side, where we are ‘hitting the brick wall’ finding info prior to John and Roby Hoard Crommer. My mother was unaware of this additional connection and I assume that Mygleetus was also unaware of the doubling up of grandparents and greatgrandparents.)
