From ancient times to the present, innumerable contributions have been made to the consciousness of wholeness. The following four individuals are especially important to CGC as precusors to our vocation and actions.

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1881-1955), philosopher, paleontologist, and Jesuit priest, is known for his theory that humanity is evolving, mentally and socially, toward a final spiritual unity.
“The future of the Earth is in our hands.”

Margaret Mead (1901-1978), anthropologist and citizen of the world, came to believe in her study of diverse cultures that humanity has the capacity choose its future.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, commited citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

Maria Montessori (1870 -1952), developed methods of education out her recognition that each child contains a "spiritual embryo" that must create what it is to Be in an environment of both freedom and responsibility.
“Within the child lies the fate of the future.”

Robert Muller, (1927- ) in active retirement as an Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations chancellor of the University for Peace in Costa Rica, still commits endless hours to peace work based on spirituality and his unique view of the political/cultural scene.
