The Raymond Family

Jesse Raymond (b 21 Aug 1821 in NY and d 24 Aug 1858, age 37) and Jane Ann Lickley (b. 29 Nov 1827 in Putnam Valley, Putnam Co. NY, d. 13 May 1893) were married 21 Jan 1847.

The 1850 Wright Twp. Hillsdale Co. Census lists Jesse as a 29 yr old farmer and 23 yr old Jane, with 2 children; 1 yr old Melvin and 7 yr old Caroline. Also living with them is 73 yr old John Raymond, probably Jesse’s father, although I do not have proof. Does anyone know about Caroline? The dates are wrong for her to be Jane’s daughter; it is possible that Jesse was married before, or that John had a child late in life.
